How to Move ezAccounting Software to A New Computer If the Old Computer Is Crashed

If you need to move the ezAccounting to a new computer, you need to install ezAccounting on the machine, then copy your company database file to a shared folder or a USB disk, and transfer the data to the new computer.
Step 1: Log on the new computer as administrator, install ezAccounting software on the new machine
Log on the new machine as administrator, download and install ezAccounting software first on your new machine. (You need to have the administrator permission to install the special fonts.)
Step 2: Enter ezAccounting license key.
You can check the message your received after the transaction was completed. If you have lost the key, you can contact us. Please mention one the choices below so that we can retrieve your key information.
the email you used for that transaction
the buyer name and address (no credit card information needed)
the transaction ID
the receipt ID
Step 3: Copy the database file from the old computer if you did not back up your database before
- Connect the old disk of the old computer from the a new computer(Ask IT for help if you need assistance.)
- insert your USB disk.
- Copy the ezAccounting database files (.mdb file) to the USB disk

The database file of ezAccounting software is .mdb (Microsoft Accesss Database) file. This file is NOT designed to read by MS Access or manually. You need to read it with ezAccounting software.
Step 4: Copy the database file from the USB disk to the application folder on your new machine.
On database restore screen, click the "Select backup database to be restored" button to choose the database file from your USB disk and backup folder. You can learn more from this link also.

Step 5: Switch the current account to view data
Once you restore the file successfully, you can switch the current company to view data by clicking the top menu "Company" then "Select Company"
