ezAccounting: How to change payroll report option: by period ending date or by check date

ezAccounting -> FAQs -> Employees and Payroll

Each company is unique. That is why ezAccounting software includes the flexible report options. ezAccounting software generates payroll reports based on pay period ending date by default. However, you can change the option to use pay check date.

Step 1: Start ezAccounting Software



Step 2: Click the top menu "Payroll/Employee" then click the sub menu "Payroll Setup" to view "Payroll Setup" screen.

Step 3: Change the report option



For example: Paycheck #30001, for pay period 12/16/2012 to 12/31/2012 paid on 1/2/2013

- If you select to generate the report by Pay period Ending Date, paycheck #30001 is the last check of year 2012 and will be displayed on Year 2012 report.

- If you select to generate the report by Pay Date, paycheck #30001 is the first check of year 2013 and will be displayed on Year 2013 report.

Step 4: Save your change
