What Is New for California 2015 Payroll Income Tax

Starting Jan 1, 2015, ezPayCheck payroll software use new California tax rate.

California increased the low income exemption from $12,997 in 2014 to $13,267 in 2015 for single, dual income married or married with multiple employers and married with '0' or '1'  allowances on DE 4 or W-4. For unmarried head of household and married with '2' or more allowances on DE 4 or W-4, this number increase from $25,994 to $26,533. The standard deduction for single, dual income married or married with multiple employers and married with '0' or '1'  allowances on DE 4 or W-4 is $3,992. And for unmarried head of household and married with '2' or more allowances on DE 4 or W-4, the standard deduction increased to $7,984. 

California income tax rates range changed from 1.1% to 14.63% and are levied on California residents’ income and non-residents’ income from California sources.EzPayCheck payroll software includes this changes in its 2015 version.
