In Payroll, I have entered 5.4% as State Unemployment Tax Rate (SUTA?). Yet there is no deduction on Paycheck for SUTA. Also, I understand that there is a credit on Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA?) for amount paid for SUTA. I do not see these credits in FUTA. Where are State Forms? I am trying to understand software, so I can use going forward.

1. FUTA and SUTA are employer side taxes. You do not need to withhold them from employee paychecks. Emloyer side tax information will not be printed on paystub.

2. How to set up FUTA and SUTA

If you are not sure about your company rate, please call your local IRS office.

3. Our software can file W2, W3, 941 and 940. It also generates several reports to help you fill in the state, city and other local tax forms. But our software does not fill in the state and local paper forms.
