I am using the latest version ezPaycheck software. I have restored my Company backup file and when I try to Select that company from the list it gives the following error..

"Failed to change company. Error: Unrecognized database format 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ezPaycheck\my companyBK2013-1-9-Restored2015-8-31.mdb'.

I need my 2014 payroll information and I really need your help.

Hi Vijay,

One customer got the similar issue last week after he upgraded this system. He said his Windows 10 machine could only support letters and numbers in file name after he updated this machine. Please try this solution first.

1. Open this folder
'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ezPaycheck\

2. make a copy of file "My CompanyBK2013-1-9-Restored2015-8-31.mdb'"
And rename it with a simple and short name. ie: "My Company BK 2013.mdb"

If this solution does not work, please give us more details:
1. Your system: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10?

2. Do you have administrator permission of this local machine? I want to make sure you have enough permissions to access database and run ezPaycheck payroll software.
