Before eFiling W2 forms with ezW2, ensure you complete all steps in this article.
Downloading and Purchasing ezW2
You must download and purchase ezW2 to eFile W2 forms. Download ezW2 from this link. After downloading, purchase ezW2 here. You need the Enterprise version to use the eFile service in ezW2.
- eFiling W2 forms directly through ezW2 is available ezW2 2025 and all following years.
- eFiling W2C forms directly through Halfpricesoft is not currently available. This feature will be added in a future update to our ezW2Correction product.
Purchasing W2 eFile Service
To upload your W2 eFiles through Halfpricesoft, you must purchase eFile forms. Purchase here. Buy one eFile form for each W2 you will upload. After purchase, the forms are linked to the purchasing email and become available once you create an account in Halfpricesoft’s online portal. If you already have an account your eFile forms are ready for use.
If a submission is partially successful (some accepted, others rejected), the rejected forms still count toward your purchased quantity. To resubmit rejected forms, purchase additional eFile forms.
Creating an Account on Halfpricesoft's Online Portal
To upload eFiles and check submission status, you need an account on Halfpricesoft’s online portal.
If you already have an account, sign in here to monitor submission status and view available eFile forms.
If you don’t have an account, register your email here.
When registering, use the same email address you used to purchase the eFile forms. The purchasing email, as well as any email associated with it in Halfpricesoft’s Online Portal, can be used to eFile through ezW2.
