when i attempt to open one of my accounts in ezcheck personal software i am recieving a msg that reads
"Failed to change company. error: unrecognized database format
C:\users\public\documents\halfpricesoft\excheckpersonal\personalcheck.mdb"

error msg:
Unrecognized database format 'C:/Users\Public\documents\halfpricesoft\ezcheckpersonal\personalcheck.mdb'.
ezcheck perssonal ::fmmain::102
error msg:
Unrecognized database format 'C:/Users\Public\documents\halfpricesoft\ezcheckpersonal\personalcheck.mdb'.
ezcheck perssonal ::fmmain::103
error msg:
Unrecognized database format 'C:/Users\Public\documents\halfpricesoft\ezcheckpersonal\personalcheck.mdb'.
ezcheck perssonal ::fmmain::loadcheckitem
error msg:
Unrecognized database format 'C:/Users\Public\documents\halfpricesoft\ezcheckpersonal\personalcheck.mdb'.
ezcheck perssonal ::fmmain::fmmain_load

Tried reinstalling software but no change,
not sure how to proceed. all of my recorded checks are in this file. please help

Al,

There are two possible reasons can caused this error:

1. The database file is crashed.
If you have backed up the database file before, you can restore the backup file

2. Wrong database file
The database format for different application are different. For example: If you use ezCheckPersonal to open ezCheckPrinting software database, you will see this error.
