Good Morning!

Last month I purchased the EZ Pay Check 2017 Software. When I'm creating a check in the system the Medicare and Social Security withholding amounts are correct but the Fed & State withholding amounts are never correct. They are lower than the total that the book instructs me to deduct.

Do you have any suggestions for me? We have done all of the checks the 'old fashioned way' (using the books and hand writing them) prior to purchasing this software. I have not actually been able to use it yet since I can't figure out why the amounts won't calculate properly.

Thank you for your help, I am so Grateful!

Blessings for a Joyous Day!

Thank you for using ezPaycheck payroll software.

I think the most possible reason:

1. Make sure the company period set up is correct.
The tax rate for monthly, weekly and others are different.

2. Please check the number of allowance. - the most possible
The standard Deduction per allowance is: $4,050.00

If this employee claimed number of allowance, it will lower the taxable income.

3. Here is guide about how to calculate federal tax manually
