Based on the error message, you do not have a valid data folder path. Or you do not have enough permissions to access the data folder.
Solution:
Step 1: Create a new folder
Start the File Explorer and create a new folder. (ie: C:/ACA Test)
So, you have the full permissions to access this new folder
Step 2: Change the current XML data file folder
- Start ez1095 and open the efile screen.
- change the data folder at the bottom of the efile screen to use the new folder by clicking the three-dot button.
- Click "Save data" button
- Click "Create file" button.
Extra information:
Right now, you can pass ACA testing with ez1095 2021 version.
We always suggest our clients to use the latest version to pass ACA testing because IRS test server and production server may use the different schemas in Nov and December when IRS servers are updating.
