Not many customer-servicers have the capacity to look beyond getting a dollar today, I think most would have said, "well, we have his money, and it was HIS choice to buy 2010-only rather than wait until the bug was fixed, so case closed". They would keep my dollar today, but never get another one from me again. You, on the other hand, now have my loyatly (though perhaps not much for me to buy from you, haha)

Is Check Printing Legal?
Yes, printing checks from your own printer is perfectly legal. However, they must be printed on special paper.

Do I need special printer toner?
Most banks accept checks printed with regular laser print toner.
Optical check readers enable banks to electronically process checks not printed with Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) toner.
If your bank does not use optical check readers, the check will be processed manually instead of electronically. According to our experience, the checks printed by your laser printer are good enough for most banks.
A jet or dot matrix printer CAN'T be used to print checks on blank check stock. However you can use such printer to write data on pre-printed checks.

What kind of blank check paper is acceptable?
DO NOT use plain paper! Blank check stock has security features (watermarks, micro printing, etc.)
which help prevent fraud. ezCheckPrintingwill work with any blank computer check paper with 8-1/2" X 11" size and check on top with size 8-1/2" X 3-1/2".

ezCheckPrinting can write check on pre-printed checks or print check on the blank check stock. You can choose this option from check setup screen. Learn more here.

How can I adjust the check printing position? The MICR line is too high.
You need open the check setup screen by clicking the top menu "settings->Check setup". You can adjust the check print out position by modifing the "Offset left", "Offset right", "Offset up" and "Offset down" text box. If you need to print the check lower, you can increase the value of "Offset down" to print the check lower.

How do I know if the check is properly aligned?
You can print out "Check Alignment Page" and align you check on the bottom and right line to check
if the Routing Number fits inside the correct box. The "Print Check Alignment" button is on "Check Setup Page". The Routing Number includes the leading symbol.

The easiest way is using free Windows Paint from Accessories -> Paint. You can set the image size to 150 X 50 in Pixel from Image->Attibutes.

Common Issues:
- When I run ezCheckPrinting, I got database errors. Why?
You may not have enough permissions on local machine.
To install database correctly, you need to have administrator permission to install ezCheckPrinting. When you run ezCheckPrinting, some operations require you have permission to create a new database files on your local machine, such as "New Company".
- When I run ezCheckPrinting, the bank account number on my check does not display correctly. Why?
It is a font problem.
1) You need to have administrator permission to install ezCheckPrinting.
2) After installation, please restart your machine.
- Why just half of check or image or form or report printed from my printer?
The most common reason for this issue is the printer uses the wrong size paper. You should use the Letter size paper when you print the check.And several other settings may also cause this printing problem. Learn more here.
