What Do I Need to Use ezW2 Correction Direct eFile Feature?

To use the ezW2 Correction direct eFile feature, you need the following:

  1. ezW2 Correction Enterprise Version License - The Enterprise version is required to access the eFile service within ezW2 Correction.

  2. eFile W2 Correction Form Credits - You must purchase one eFile credit for each W-2C form you plan to eFile. For example, if you need to eFile 10 forms, you need to purchase 10 eFiling credits.

  3. Free Halfpricesoft Customer Account - A free account is required to upload forms and track submission status through Halfpricesoft's online portal.

When purchasing eFile forms, you will not receive a license key. The eFile credits are automatically linked to your purchasing email address and become available once you create or sign in to your Halfpricesoft account.

Before eFiling W2 Correction forms with ezW2 Correction, ensure you complete all steps in this article.

Downloading and Purchasing ezW2 Correction​

You must download and purchase ezW2 Correction to eFile W2C forms. Download ezW2 Correction from this link. After downloading, purchase ezW2 Correction here. You need the Enterprise version to use the eFile service in ezW2 Correction.

eFiling W2 Correction forms directly through ezW2 Correction is available ezW2 Correction 2025 and all following years.

Purchasing W2 Correction eFile Service​

To upload your W2 Correction eFiles through Halfpricesoft, you must purchase eFile forms. Purchase here. Buy one eFile form for each W2C you will upload. After purchase, the forms are linked to the purchasing email and become available once you create an account in Halfpricesoft's online portal. If you already have an account your eFile forms are ready for use.

If a submission is partially successful (some accepted, others rejected), the rejected forms still count toward your purchased quantity. To resubmit rejected forms, purchase additional eFile forms.

Creating an Account on Halfpricesoft's Online Portal​

To upload eFiles and check submission status, you need an account on Halfpricesoft's online portal.

If you don't have an account, register your email here.

When registering, use the same email address you used to purchase the eFile forms. The purchasing email, as well as any email associated with it in Halfpricesoft's Online Portal, can be used to eFile through ezW2 Correction.
