It is my first time using the HalfPriceSoft for 1095-C state filing and I have a few questions. We already filed our federal 1095 using our internal program Workday, but are using HalfPriceSoft to generate our state files.

We have employees in California and it's my understanding that we must submit the test files to the state first. I already loaded our company's data into HalfPrice Soft. Do I have to delete it before I load the test files? Or can I leave it in there and somehow select only the test data?

Yes, you need to pass the testing cycle if this is the first time you efile 1095 to CA.
