1095 XML File: BusinessNameControlTxt Error and Solution

Step 1: Error description

ERROR (Line 1): The 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:7.0:BusinessNameControlTxt' element is invalid - The value 'ABC Global US Inc' is invalid according to its datatype 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:7.0:BusinessNameControlType' - The Pattern constraint failed.

Step 3: Solution: Fix the error, generate the new XML files, validate and efile

1) The name control is formed from the legal name on Form SS-4 when an EIN is requested. It consists of the first four significant characters of the corporation's name, including letters, numbers, hyphen (-), and ampersand (&). If invalid characters exist, they are ignored.

For example:
"Sumac Field Plow Inc." will become "SUMA"
"11th Street Inc." will become "11TH"
"P & P Company" will become "P&PC"

2) After you fixed the error(s), you MUST generate the XML files with ez1095 software again. Please DO NOT modify XML documents manually!!!
