ezPaycheck clients can switch to ezAccounting software easily. ezAccounting software can import payroll data from ezPaycheck payroll software.
Option 1: ezPaycheck and ezAccounting are installed on the same computer.
Option 2: ezPaycheck and ezAccounting are installed on different computers.
Option 1: If you install ezAccounting and ezPaycheck on the same computer
1.1 Please start ezPaycheck software. You can view the current account database file name from the top menu.
1.2 Start ezAccounting software, click the top menu "Import/Export", then click the sub menu "Import from ezPaycheck" to import ezPaycheck from the .mdb file from the database file directory.
The default folder database folder for ezPaycheck is
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ezPaycheck
The database file is .mdb file.
Just follow the instructions on screen to import the payroll data.
Option 2: If you install ezPaycheck and ezAccounting on different computers
2.1 Back up ezPaycheck database file to the USB disk.
Start ezPaycheck, click ezPaycheck top menu "Company->Back up current company" and save the database file to the USB disk.
2.2 Start ezAccounting, click the top menu "Import/Export", then click the sub menu "Import from ezPaycheck" to import the data file the .mdb file on the USB.
Note:
After you import ezPaycheck payroll data, you can view payroll reports with ezAccounting. But you cannot re-print the paychecks from ezAccounting. (That is because ezAccounting can support multiple bank accounts. ezAccounting cannot match previous paycheck data with its accounts.)
You can add and print new paychecks with ezAccounting.
