1094 CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId Error and Solution

ez1095 software makes it easy to file ACA forms to IRS. Please follow this guide if you encounter:

CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId Error

If Form 1094C 'CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId' has a value, then it must not match a 'CorrectedUniqueSubmissionId' from a submission that was previously accepted by IRS.



Reason:

You entered a wrong receipt ID on the efiling screen when you file 1095 or 1094 correction.

For example:
You filed two submissions to IRS.

The first submission was "Accepted" by IRS with Receipt ID "1094C-11-11111111". The second submission was "Accepted with Errors" with Receipt ID "1094-22-22222222"

When you file the correction for the second submission, you should enter receipt ID "1094-22-22222222". You will get this error if you enter "1094C-11-11111111" by mistake.



Solution:

Enter the Receipt ID of the transmission that you need to correct on efile screen and upload the correction to IRS again.

How to verify the Receipt ID?

  • If you are filing with halfpricesoft 1095 efiling service, you can log in your client account and view the Receipt ID and error description.

  • If you filed ACA forms to IRS with your own TCC, you can log in your IRS account and verify the Receipt ID and error description.
