ERROR (Line xxx): The 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:7.0:StateCD' element is invalid.
Step 2: Reason
1) You might forget to enter the State field.
2) Or you entered a wrong state CD.
Step 3: Solution: Fix the error, generate the new XML files, validate and efile
1) The state CD should be 2-letter. For example: FL, WA, NY
2) Fix the errors
If you are filing 1095/1094-B, please make sure you have the correct data for:
- State field on employer setting screen
- Box 6 (and box 14, box 21 optional) on 1095-B
- Box 7 on 1094-B
- State field on efiling screen
If you are filing 1095/1094-C, please make sure you have the correct data for:
- State field on employer setting screen
- Box 5 (and box 12 optional) on 1095-C
- Box 5 (and box 13 optional) on 1094-C
- State field on efiling screen
If you imported the data from files, please review and fix the state field and import data again.
3) After you fixed the error(s), you MUST generate the XML files with ez1095 software again. Please DO NOT modify XML documents manually!!!
