With ezAccounting software, you can add the different pay rates for the same employee.
For example:
Employee XYZ is paid at rate1 in the day and rate2 at night in a manufacture environment;
or employee XYZ is paid at rate1 when he works as a driver and rate2 when he works as a cashier in a pizza store;
or employee XYZ is paid at rate1 when he works during lunch time and rate2 when he works during dinner time in a restaurant;
Step 1: Set up the new payment type
1.1. Start ezAccounting, click the top menu "Payroll/Employee" then click the sub menu "Wage Setup" to view the Company Wage Setup screen.
1.2 Select one hourly rate option
1.3 Click the button "Change Name".
1.4 Enter the new wage name and click the Save button.
1.5 Click the Save button on the Company Wage Setup screen update the wage settings.

Step 2: Specify the pay rate(s) in employee profile
You can enter the different pay rates in employee settings.
Step 3: Add a new payCheck
Enter the hours for regular shift and special shift
Step 4: Print paychecks
- Select checks from check list
- Click Print button to print checks
