      Yes, printing checks from your own printer is perfectly legal. However, they must be printed on special paper.

    • What is the cost?

    • Do I need special printer toner?
      If you have pre-printed checks with MICR encoding, you can use any printer. If you need to print checks on blank stock, we suggest customers to use MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) toner and MICR ink for the best printing quality. However, many US bank are using Optical check reader today which can scan the checks printed on blank stock with regular office/home laser printers.A jet or dot matrix printer CAN'T be used to print checks on blank check stock.

    • What kind of blank check paper is acceptable?
      DO NOT use plain paper! Blank check stock has security features (watermarks, micro printing, etc.) which help prevent fraud. ezCheckPrinting will work with any blank computer check paper with 8-1/2" X 11" size and check with size 8-1/2" X 3-1/2". EzCheckPrinting supports check-on-top, check-at-bottom and three-per-page format. (Note: the QB virtual printer cannot support Middle format blank stock.)

    • Does ezCheckPrinting Virtual Printer print the MICR encoding on checks?
      Yes, ezCheckPrinting check writer does print the MICR encoding on checks. You can print MICR bank routing numbers, account numbers, check numbers and bank information on blank check stock using a laser printer.

    • Can ezCheckPrinting Virtual Printer print Paycheck with stubs from QuickBooks?
      Yes, our check writer can print the the deductions and taxes on the stubs for QuickBooks customers.

    • What are the system requirements for ezCheckPrinting?

You need to purchase the bundle version of ezCheckPrinting and virtual printer to print checks from QuickBooks/Quicken. If you already purchased ezCheckPrinting software, you can purchase the virtual printer only.


    • How long does it take to get the license key code?
      Our system will email the keycode instantly once the transacton completes. If you cannot get keycode in 30 minutes, please feel free to contact us at the support page.


    • Can I get ezCheckPrinting and Virtual Printer for free?
      No. We stopped to offer ezCheckPrinting free option now.

    • What are the System Requirements for ezCheckPrinting software?
      - ezCheckPrinting has both Windows and MAC version. It can run on both Windows and Mac directly.
      - QB virtual printer has Windows verison only. QB virtual printer can run on Windows and Mac installed with Virtual Machine or Parallels.

    • Can ezCheckPrinting run on a MAC?

    • Does the free trial version have any limitations?
      The trial version will print "SAMPLE" images or trial watermarks on checks. You can enter the key to remove it. And all your data will stay there.

    • How to uninstall EzCheckPrinting QuickBooks Virtual Printer?
      Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features. Select EzCheckPrinting QuickBooks Virtual Printer from program list, and then click Uninstall.

      You can open the check setup screen by clicking the top menu "settings->Check setup". You need to adjust the check print out position by modifying the "Offset left", "Offset right", "Offset up" or "Offset down" value. If you need to print the check lower, you can increase the value of "Offset down" to print the check lower.

    • How do I know if the check is properly aligned?
      You can print out "Check Alignment Page" and align you check on the bottom and right line to check if the Routing Number fits inside the correct box. The "Print Check Alignment" button is on "Check Setup Page". The Routing Number includes the leading symbol.

    • Does ezCheckPrinting support logo?
      Yes, ezCheckPrinting supports logo and signature images. Here is the step by step guide on how to print check with logo.

    • How to write check on pre-printed checks?
      ezCheckPrinting can write check on pre-printed checks or print check on the blank check stock. You can choose this option from check setup screen.

    • What kind of file format is acceptable for signature?
      The signature image file can accept .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .tiff and .png.

    • How can I create a signature file?
      The easiest way is using free Windows Paint from Accessories -> Paint. You can set the image size to 150 X 50 in Pixel from Image-Attributes. And then use the pen to draw your signature.

    • Can ezCheckPrinting print pre-approved draft checks?
      Yes, ezCheckPrinting allows user to create check draft. Learn more details here.

    • The MICR fonts are not printed correctly on check. How to fix it?
      The most common reason for font display problem is the MICR font was not installed correctly. Usually re-install check writer software on your machine can solve this problem. Learn more details here.

    • How to print check over network?

    • Can I use different format check paper, for example: 3-per-page?
