1095 XML File: StartMonthNumberCd Error and Solution

Step 1: Error description

ERROR (Line 80): The element 'Form1095CUpstreamDetail' in namespace 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:ty20' has invalid child element 'EmployeeOfferAndCoverageGrp' in namespace 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:ty20'. List of possible elements expected: 'StartMonthNumberCd' in namespace 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:ty20'.

Step 2: Reason

You entered the wrong value (or empty value) for field "Plan Start Month" in Part II.

Step 3: Find the 1095 form that is with wrong data

Step 4: Solution:

Solution 4.1: If you enter the form data manually

Please make sure you entered the correct value. For example: If your plan start from Jan, please enter "01" there.

After you fixed the error(s), you MUST generate the XML files with ez1095 software again. Please DO NOT modify XML documents manually!!!
